Current Message Series:  "The Voice From The Cross."

Last words can be very revealing.  P.T. Barnum said, as he was dying, “What were today’s receipts?”  Napoleon said, “Chief of the Army!”  The great Baptist preacher, Charles Spurgeon, said as his last words, “Jesus died for me.”  John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, said, “The best of all is, God is with us.”

Beginning February 12, we begin a new series on Sunday morning, titled, “The Voice from the Cross.”  We will be considering the seven last words of Jesus from the cross.  These seven last statements are “windows that enable us to look into eternity and see the very heart of God.”

  • “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)
  • “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
  • “Woman, here is your son.” (John 19:26-27)
  • “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46-67; Mark 15:34-36)
  • “I am thirsty.” (John 19:28)
  • “It is finished.” (John 19:30)
  • “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” (Luke 23:46)
